Queen Anne Siding Repair

The corner of this porch in the Queen Anne neighborhood of Seattle had suffered significant rot, prompting our client to remove the siding to assess the damage. As is common with older homes, some of the original materials were no longer readily available. To address this, we sourced similar materials from a local supplier and carefully modified them to match the original aesthetic.

After repairing the rotten wood, we replaced the sheathing and installed rubber butyl flashing to provide enhanced protection against future water intrusion. The new materials were then installed, seamlessly blending with the existing structure, and finished with two coats of paint for a polished look. The client was thrilled with the results, which restored both the integrity and charm of their siding and porch.
