Beacon Hill Rotten Wood Frame Repair & Exterior Painting
This project involved restoring a second home in the Beacon Hill neighborhood of Seattle constructed by the same contractors whose improper flashing installation had caused severe water intrusion and widespread rotten wood. Proper flashing is essential for the longevity and protection of a home, and its absence led to significant water damage, particularly in the corners, rear balconies, and front soffits - areas most exposed to the elements.
We addressed the damage by promptly replacing the rotten wood, reinforcing the structural supports for added stability, and redesigning the balconies to prevent future water intrusion into the framing. The front soffits were also repaired and sealed to ensure long-term durability.
To complete the restoration, we applied a fresh coat of Sherwin Williams Emerald paint, which offers exceptional weather resistance and longevity. This not only protected the home against future elements but also enhanced its curb appeal, leaving it looking beautiful and built to last.
